- Adult Foster Care is funded by Mass Health.

- The Adult Foster Care through the Medicaid State Plan Program is an entitlement which means the State’s Medicaid eligibility requirement assures one will receive benefits.
- The State does not limit the number of persons who can receive Adult Foster Care services.
- It is a long-term service and support that is offered under the Massachusetts Regular State Plan Medicaid Program.
- Personalized care is especially beneficial for those with evolving health conditions such as diabetes or Alzheimer’s disease.
- Adult Foster Care costs less than nursing homes and assisted living facilities and is often also less expensive than in-home personal services.
